All That Jas Celebrating 10 Years

All That Jas

Local Business All That Jas is celebrating 10 years of business during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 9th.

Owner, Michaelle Graybeal originally opened the business in downtown Burlington as a store selling girls cheerleading apparel and gifts, but after an Elon student mentioned to Graybeal that there was not a place to purchase Greek merchandise, she began making customized sorority t-shirts.

“It was kind of a natural progression actually from the cheerleading,” Graybeal said. “We were making really cute stuff for the younger kids, so lets do the same thing for sorority girls.”

Graybeal, owner of All That JasGraybeal also realized that in order to be as successful as possible, she need to relocate closer to campus.

The store first opened in the house behind the post office, now known as the Faucett House. After being there for two-and-a-half years, All That Jas moved to its current location on Williamson Ave.

The store not only sells their merchandise to locals and Elon students; All That Jas also has an online presence that began in 2009.

“We’re kinda known all over the U.S.,” Graybeal said. “We’ve sold to probably every state except for Hawaii and Alaska, which is really cool.”

Through the years, Graybeal said the store has been a success not only because the unique products they offer to students but also because of its family atmosphere.

“We love having the students come in and we like to see how happy they are when they leave here,” Graybeal said. ”We are all about the customer service and making sure people are happy.”

Graybeal hopes that many of her past student workers will come by for the event.

“We have about 50-something students that have come through working at All That Jas since it started,” she said. “We’ve got some of those girls coming back, and actually the girl who helped me get the business started will be here for that Saturday.”

Graybeal said she hops All That Jas will continue to grow as the years pass and continue serving Elon students for a long time.
