This 2008 Honda Civic was stolen in the Sheridan Place robbery.

A car, keys to the car and iPad were stolen from a student’s off-campus Sheridan Place apartment some time between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m Tuesday, according to an email from Smith Jackson, Dean of Students.

Jackson’s email states that Elon Town Police responded to a call saying someone had entered the unlocked apartment and stole the items while the residents were out. The investigation is ongoing.

The car is described in the email as a 2008 Honda Civic with Florida license plate 520 YWT and has several stickers in the window and on the back of the car. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to called 911.

In his email to students alerting them to the incident, Jackson included general safety tips and reminders for the new semester. Tips include walking in pairs, letting someone else know if you are walking alone and keeping doors and windows locked.

Jackson also advised that calling 911 is the best and fastest way to alert all authorities to any emergency or security situation.
