Phoenix schedule for week of February 22

Winter weather set back several games and contest last week for Elon athletic programs. Here is what is happening on campus this week:

On Wednesday, the baseball team returns to Latham Park with a 4 p.m. game against UNC Greensboro. The following evening, the men’s basketball team squares off against Northeastern on Thursday night in Alumni Gym at 7 p.m..

Going into the weekend, the Phoenix have its hands full, starting with a softball doubleheader on Friday against Central Connecticut State at 2:15 p.m., and Brown at 4:30 p.m. Just across the street at the same time, baseball goes head-to-head against Wagner at 4 p.m.

Saturday, men’s tennis plays Wofford at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center at 1 p.m., and across campus softball plays Brown at 1:15 p.m. and baseball plays Wagner at 2 p.m. If you are looking for something to do Saturday night, men’s basketball hosts UNC Wilmington at 7 p.m. in Alumni Gym.

Finally on Sunday, baseball kicks off against Wagner at 1:30 p.m., with men’s tennis playing across campus at 2 p.m. serving up against the Runnin’ Bulldogs. Softball closes out the weekend hosting Niagara at 2:30 p.m.

As far as rescheduled games, men’s tennis has rescheduled its match against Winthrop for Friday, Mar. 13 at 2 p.m. Women’s tennis moved their match against Garner-Webb for Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m, to be played at the home of the Runnin’ Bulldogs. Softball matchup with Campbell has been moved to Tuesday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m. at Hunt Softball Park, and Baseball, originally scheduled for Feb. 18, against High Point has not yet set a makeup date.
