Elon transportation opportunities extending into the Piedmont Triad region

Beginning Feb. 22, 2016, Elon University Transportation will have a van service from campus to the PART Route 4 Alamance Burlington Express Route bus stop. The van will take passengers from the university to the PART bus stop at Alamance Regional Medical Center. From there, the busses will be running of Route 4, which makes stops in Greensboro, Mebane, Whitsett, and Chapel Hill.

The Elon University connector van service will run Monday through Friday, and people can catch it at the Inman Admissions Center Biobus stop. The connector service is free to the public. However, PART Route 4 has a fare of $3.50 one-way. For those who may be riding frequently, a 31-day pass is available for $90 and a 10-ride pass is available for $30. Students, people 60 and older, Medicare Cardholder, and disabled persons will receive a 50 percent discount on all passes and fares.

The PART Route 4 connector service will run through March 18, 2016. The extension of this service depends on participation.
