According to The Times-News, the board of Allied Churches of Alamance County has fired Executive Director Kim Crawford.

Allied Churches is a homeless shelter and food pantry which also provides job and education services.

The Times-News says Crawford confirmed her termination in a statement on Wednesday, referencing Allied Churches’ financial challenges. Last week, at a meeting with board members, she “lost her temper,” according to the Times-News.

Crawford was hired in January 2013. According to the Allied Churches website, she was the Executive Director for five years of Life House, Inc., a shelter for at risk homeless children between the ages of 14 and 20 in Duluth, Minnesota.

The organization has not addressed the changes yet or what led to the decision to terminate Crawford. Likewise, the Times-News said Allied Churches has not addressed the search for a new director.
